Stay Alert of AnimeFiesta Kuala Lumpur (AFKL) Scam Event!

AnimaFiesta Kuala Lumpur (AFKL), claiming to be the largest anime expo in Malaysia, and the first to bring in Miku Hatsune concert, in *planning* to be held in KLCC. (Need over 9000! ticket preorders to confirm lol?)

First of all, I’ve never heard of this event, so I was doubtful, so I just observe first without saying anything. Good thing fellow Cosplayers or Hobbyist from West Malaysia checked with KLCC on whether there were this event on the announced date, which is NONE. Even Miku Hatsune’s company Sega, confirmed that their last concert will be in March which is before AFKL ^^”

In terms of logic and common sense, it is a fake/scam/TROLL event already @.@ However I see there’s still ppl defending the event organizer and buying Miku Hatsune concert tickets from them wth? Just hope ppl will stop being naive and see reality~~ Don’t buy tickets from them~ Its RM50 the cheapest for a ticket, a few hundred ppl buying would be a large sum ^^”

There’s also this generous person who went all the way to investigate the event’s site, which is epic win! XD Awesome research and investigation, useful to be a programmer? :3 Look at how he investigate the Scams of AnimeFiesta Kuala Lumpur 😀

After reading that, I bet a normal human being would not believe in AFKL anymore, its a scam! and the whole site is entirely copy pasta! Its plagiarism! @.@

Update : Visit here too for valid reasons why AFKL are considered to be a scam event. Also heard there was a similar scam event within the K-pop community, visit here for more info on that, it seems like the scammers are the same group as AFKL? Their methods or operations are almost the same~ hmmmmmm…

Also, please beware of the event’s individual Facebook account, I see some people still asking about ticket purchase there ^^”

OMG? Ticket tooo expensive to belief its real @.@ Even in AFA11 Miku Hatsune Cncert VIP ticket wasn’t THAT expensive =.= This is clearly to scam people of their fortune knowing that people can’t resist! Please spread the word~~~~ *Concert became Live Party lolwat?*

UNICEF – Donate RM10 to Give a Child the Gift of Hope this New Year

Stumbled upon Groupon Malaysia asking for donations for the poor children around the globe, I directly click “Buy Now!” ^^

Kinda creative way to ask for donations by buying online through Groupon Msia haha.. Its actually more user-friendly and convenient~ I can easily online bank transfer to donate/buy the voucher 😀

What RM10 can provide for children:

  • 20 exercise books and 20 ballpoint pens for school.
  • A bottle of Permethrin shampoo for treatment of scabies, a skin disease.
  • Four 400 gram cartons of high energy biscuits for malnourished children.

Other info:

  • 100% of donations go directly to UNICEF Malaysia.
  • UNICEF is entirely funded by voluntary donations.
  • Donations can help provide much-needed supplies and aid to children around the world.

Kuching Flood and Two Missing

The girl’s body was found near Kampung Goebilt, Muara Tebas. That is quite far and out of Kuching already @.@ Read more about it here.

Yesterday early morning around 5am the already raining weather became even heavier which caused flash flood almost everywhere in Kuching, surprisingly, areas which were never flooded before, and vice versa. I woke up to a flood of flood pictures in Facebook, it was kinda unbelievable just in a few hours Kuching was flooded quite seriously, it was jam packed everywhere too as everyone was trying to avoid flooded areas to go to work. Some got stuck and lim teh at nearby Kopitiam lol

Unfortunately, there were two casualties/missing people in this time’s flood, 1 Form 6 girl student and a guy working at nearby petrol station. The girl fell into a big drain with high rush current while the guy jumped in to rescue her, but was wash away with the current too, and he can’t swim ^^” I’m not sure whether they’ve found them already or not, according to The Borneo Post, they are still searching. Though don’t know from where there’s a rumor in Facebook about the girl’s body being found dead @.@ Hope that’s not so.

*Note : It is advisable not to jump into the water to rescue someone if you do not know how to swim, eventhough it is brave of you, because it is another life which you yourself must cherish and not to throw away! It is a sad case 🙁

What you can do is immediately seek another’s help who are able to.

Just wanna wish everyone Happy New Year 2012~!

2011 has been 50% nice to me, well can be more than that, coz in the year mentioned,

  1. I found LOVE 🙂
  2. Graduated from Swinburne successfully
  3. Started working (for my dad tho :\ )
  4. Completed my long-standing wish of ARIA Cosplay XD (SailorMoon next? LOL)
  5. Attended AFA11 (like finally!)
  6. Got a new laptop *Ooooooh I’m sooooo lag-stress-relieved :’D *
  7. Had a peaceful year without much conflicts ^^

Some sad things are friends are now separated and is kinda hard to go out together anymore after we all graduated, sure everyone will be busy with their own life and new-found friends >.<

Anyway, I also wanted to say Thank you to all who has been visiting in 2011, I am really grateful for the support, it motivates me to blog more and keep serving ya all! 😀

Hope in 2012, there will be good changes~ As I’ll need to make a decision and change environment 🙂 Together with my love one I’ll try to be tough! *hopefully* Wish me luck! XD And wish you all have a great year ahead~ Gambatte!! :3
