Last Saturday was the food tasting of Village Fast Food where bloggers were invited to comment on their dishes as well as to promote spread words of the opening of Village Fast Food located behind Green Bento Company, opposite SUPP 😛 Organized by Green Bento, Eating Out Kuching and anonymous “Ho Chiak!”. Food is free, drinks we pay ourselves but that’s no problem, you’ll see ^^ As me and Onineko arrived quite early (actually is we arrive on time, many others arrived later) we had ample time to take pics of the surroundings, not to mention being greeted by Francis, one of the organizers, he’s a very humorous and talkative guy XD

For the event, the organizers put up a dragon entrance for us o.O Feel so Chinese New Year haha.. Very “red red” lol

Welcome to Village Fast Food ^^ Looks nice, feels kinda classic yet modern hohoho..

The biggest menu I ever seen o.O It’s put in front of Green Bento, I think where drivers can look through 1st before entering? ^^” Well, you can now see the menu at my blog 1st wahaha.. XD

As it is the 1st drive through in Kuching, we decided to.. take pics with the counter! swt.. Onineko and Sherrie pose! pose!

Surprisingly I look so happy o.O Felt like we’re “Sua Kao” 😛

The menu for the night! All of them sounds delicious, I could imagine adi.. *drools* It was said that the food contains no MSG so it’s healthy food ^^

Tables and chairs as well as utensils were arranged nicely for the event ^^ Put on the plates were a 2009 small calender and a RM10 voucher for dine in at Village Fast Food, valid till 25th Jan 2009 o.O

And so.. after waiting for the arrivals of the other bloggers, the event finally started with Francis and Caroline as the host.

Really, RM2 for such a big glass of Teh C Peng o.O I love it! XD So worthwhile lol The prices for drinks there aren’t expensive at all, just like normal kopitiam prices hehehe..

Before the 1st dish, I went around snapping every other tables, see anyone familiar? 😛

And now the 1st dish.. Hot and Sour Soup! Owh.. it was a bit spicy >.< Other than that, its ok lol

Nestum Fish Fillet.. We thought it was butter prawn according to the list in the comment paper ^^” Wrote the wrong comment o.O

White rice.. and no, its not included in the list of dishes swt.. Just something extra for our tummy 😀

Ini baru Butter Prawn.. lol See the prawn’s shape? No doubt about it XD

Nyonya Sweet & Sour Chicken.. This is nice.. Alot of different taste melted in my mouth o.O Too bad, I dunno how to eat spicy food >.<

4 Combo Vegetable.. You adi know why it’s called 4 Combo.. lol

During the food tasting, quizzes were asked by Francis, those who answered correct will get a gift. Thus, Mike Cheng look so cheeky :X won a quiz question XD Congrats, you got a smoothie recipe book haha.. There’re others who answered correctly, just too lazy to pull away from my food 😛

This time, Sherrie got 1 quiz correct and won another recipe book XD

Fried Mee Sua Cangkuk Manis.. Actually not very satisfied with this dish, coz it taste more like Fried Mee Sua, not enough Cangkuk Manis >.< and not enough ingredient too, too much carbohydrate is what my mum would say lol Shud add in some meat or flesh ^^ Nonetheless, it taste nice, no problem with that 😉

Yup! I won a quiz too lol

Wawa.. kena bully lol jk jk XD I got the recipe book “Tuscany”? Not sure what it means ^^” But its hardcover 😛

The last dish, Grilled Beef Steak! With french fries again lol The only complaint, the beef was not tender enough >.< Had a hard time munching swt.. but still edible haha..

Before the event ends, all bloggers! Group pic! lol It was a long group photo taking, coz we need to take the group photo with every blogger’s camera, and there’s like more than 10 cameras in queue o.O Thus, every bloggers have different poses of group photos XD
